Google
Earth as a Visual Aid
The next time you’re preparing a class presentation, why not take a
look at Google Earth as a possibility
for a very impressive visual aid? Google Earth is a
fun program that enables you to zip along to any location on earth as
quickly as you can type the name.
Once you download the program you simply type a location
name in the search box. Within seconds, zoom! The technology makes you
feel like you’re flying!
Just imagine how impressive this would look during a
presentation. All you need is a computer with a screen. As you speak,
you’ll be able to move the screen image, whether you’re tracking the
path of the Lewis and Clark Expedition or explaining the effects of global
warming.
What else can you do with Google
Earth?
Get a close-up look at volcanoes
Find answers to geography questions fast
Explore the earth’s topography
Find your own house!
This is a fun and educational tool. It's available as a free
download!
